Pakistan offers a number of wonderful opportunities for white water rafting. The high rise mountain peaks on its northern borders of Pakistan and these snow capped mountains and glaciers are what give birth to gurgling rivers that tumble down from the Karakoram, the Himalayas and the Hindukush to plains of Pakistan before meeting at the Arabian Sea.
Trip Itinerary:
Day 01 Arrive Islamabad. Transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 02 Fly to Skardu. (Flight is subject to weather). Overnight Hotel.
In case of cancellation of flight (12-14 hrs) drive by coach to Chilas (480 km)
on Karakoram Highway. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 Day free at Skardu.
If your are driving, complete road journey (09-10 hrs) to Skardu (275 km)
En-route has good view of Nanga Parbat (8125m) at junction of Indus River
and the rapids and fall of Indus River. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 Drive to Khaplu (2½ - 3 hrs). Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 Raft Khaplu to Gol. Overnight at camp.
Day 06 Raft Gol to Thorgo Bridge. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 Raft Thorgo to Kharpocho Fort. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 Raft Kharpocho to Kuardo and drive to Gilgit. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 Drive to Phander. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 Raft Phander to Gupis. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 Raft Gupis to Sher Qila. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 Raft Sher Qila to Gilgit. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 Fly to Islamabad (subject to weather). Upon arrival transfer to hotel.
In case of flight cancellation drive to Behsam. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 Leisure day at Islamabad.
In case of driving, complete road journey from Behsam to Islamabad.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 15 Full day trip to Khewra Salt mines. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16 Flight back home.
